Since 1975, The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center has served as an anchor in the Quad Cities by providing a wide variety of programs, events and a place to strengthen families and neighborhoods.
Currently we provide after school for youth, family and youth counseling, youth drug prevention education, teenage pregnancy prevention, tax return preparation for families and individuals. The King Center also supports a variety of volunteer led clubs and affinity groups for seniors and youth that provide structured social and recreational activities. We are proud to host The Two Rivers YMCA and Arrowhead Youth and Family Services with offices hours and space to grant greater access to their services.
The King Center holds special events during the year to acknowledge excellence in the community, celebrate holidays and to provide assistance to those in need. All year round we are able to provide space for community meetings and events at a low or no fee. The spaces are often used for political forums, community education, and family events to keep our community informed
These programs and services allow The Martin Luther King Center to build community, nurture dreams and change lives each and every day..
