Each year United Way Quad Cities helps hundreds of local families prepare their income taxes, free of charge, with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

IRS-trained and certified volunteers will prepare taxes for FREE for Quad Citizens with a household income of $67,000 or less (view full list of eligibility requirements below).

The MLK Center is one of eight sites that will host the VITA program. The center will be a walk in only in-person tax filing site and does not assist with tax related questions or scheduling of appointments.

United Way volunteers will be at the center the following days/times from February 3rd to April 4th:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Saturdays: 9:00 AM - Noon.

Please note: Services are on a first come, first serve basis with limited spots available.
