Family Advocacy Center

The Family Advocacy Center (FAC) at the MLK Center is dedicated to supporting families through life’s challenges. Our mission is to strengthen families, foster stability, and equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive.

We provide a range of free, supportive services designed to help families grow stronger and more self-sufficient:

  • Case Management
    Connecting individuals and families to services and supporting their path to independence.

  • Counseling
    Offering supportive, non-clinical guidance through difficult times.

  • Direct Client Support
    Assistance with food, clothing, IDs, birth certificates, and more.

  • Housing Assistance
    Helping individuals and families find and maintain stable housing.

  • Life Skills Empowerment
    Workshops and coaching on parenting, relationships, anger management, and coping skills.

  • Parenting Support
    Guidance and coaching to build stronger family connections.

  • Job Readiness
    Help with resumes, job searches, and interview preparation.

  • Transportation Assistance
    Providing bus passes, cab coupons, and gas cards for essential appointments and job interviews.
